Meet Dr. Shehzad Sami
Dr. Shehzad Sami is a multi-Board-Certified Cardiologist in Baytown TX including Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography.
Interventional cardiologists rank among the world’s foremost authorities on cardiovascular disease and its treatment. Dr. Sami is a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI). Fellows of SCAI list the credential abbreviation FSCAI after their names and this is considered a mark of excellence in the field. Education and Training
Dr. Sami completed clinical fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston; Research Fellowship at Texas Heart Institute (THI) with Dr. James T. Willerson, MD, FACC, President Emeritus at THI; and an Internal Medicine residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He earned a medical degree at The Aga Khan University in Pakistan. Dr. Sami also served as clinical instructor in Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine at University of Texas Medical School, where he was involved in teaching and supervising medical students, interns, residents and fellows.
His current hospital affiliations include Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital, Baytown TX and Memorial Hermann Hospital Texas Medical Center, Houston TX.
